Outline Tutorial
Here is my
first try at writing a tutorial
so please bear with me on this.
I can only do what I know and
how I do it.
1. First fine
a photo, clip art or anything
you want to make an outline.
Bring it in to Paint Shop Pro.
Here is one I did to show you.

Here is what I
picked.
2. Next we are
going to add the grid to the
picture in order to get the grid
you go to View and click on
grid, a set of lines will show
up. like this

I have my grid
set to 1 square, In order
to do that if you have not we
need to go to View, click on
Grid Guide and Snap Properties
and we changed that to this.

so once we
have that set we need to only go
to View and click on Grid and it
will do it automatic .
Back to
outline.
3.Next what I
do is I make my picture very big
here is an example

I want you to
notice on the right in this
photo I have added another
Raster layer, and I have my top
square in black, I do mine in
black you can do any color you
want. Once you have your
image up big you take your paint
brush and go along the the lines
of the image you are doing, also
remember to do the inside stuff
also.
4. Here I will
show you what you should see
next and you can check your out
also.

You will
notice that on the top raster
layer to the right it is in blue
and if you look at the picture I
have started with the painting
the outline in black.
5. Next
I will show you with the raster
layer 1 not showing what you
will see.

this is what
you should see when you turn off
layer 1.
6. Next I will
show you what the outline looks
like when completed down.

I am still in
the very big zoom mode still.
7. Here
is what my outline is like when
I bring down to 100%

There we are
and now we can save this in
animation shop as a gift .
So what you do is copy and paste
in animation you will still have
your checkboard backgound . So
we go to animation and paste as
new animation and now we go to
file and go down to save as and
follow what it says.
I do hope I
was able to explain this to you
where you will understand it.
